Important term dates, closures, and school events for the 2026-2027 school year.
Additional School Closure Dates for the 2026/2027 School Year
Following publication of the annual calendar, the Department of Education and Youth confirmed these full-day school closures:
- 12 October 2026: New Primary Curriculum Teacher Training (Day 1)
- 8 January 2027: Language Awareness Teacher Training
- 5 April 2027: New Primary Curriculum Teacher Training (Day 2)
Please Note: There will be one more school closure date added to this page for teacher training, once it is confirmed by the Department of Education and Youth. It is expected that the fourth school closure day will take place in Term 2 2027.
